November 11

November 3, a crew came to pour concrete in the new part of the basement - there are amazing echoes down there now! Meanwhile on the outside, more old siding is coming off and more insulation is going on... maybe we should leave the house pink. And yes, that is a bit of snow on the roof. It will be good if the outside work is finished very soon!

Snow??? Did you say SNOW??? Well, I guess it is that time of year, isn't it? It is so exciting to watch all of this unfold. It really will add to your quality of life. I love the idea of a heated floor! But while you can completely justify a heated floor, given how far north you live, I could not, here!

And go for pink! Make a statement!!! Live on the edge and make me proud! When do they estimate completion? What are Timothy's reactions to all of this excitement?

Estimate completion? If your glass is half full, you could say that it is a good thing that there is no end date, because then you won't be disappointed if (when?) things take longer. I'm guessing most things will be done by the end of January, but some things will linger on for awhile after that. Maybe.

Fortunately, Timothy is at school most days 9 to 3 when the worst of the noise happens, and the addition isn't yet accessible to him, so we don't really know his reactions yet.
